Research

2010 - 2015: Doctoral Candidate, University of Mannheim

My thesis dissects and juxtaposes the portrayal of the New Woman in turn-of-the-century literature by women writers of the USA and Japan.
The pivotal objective is to reveal the New Woman as representing the subversion of gender dichotomies and intercultural exchange in modern literature.
